Serial Interface Valves

MAC Valves is the largest U.S. manufacturer of extremely durable, high-speed pneumatic valves. Their products include 2-, 3-, and 4-way direct acting, piloted, remote air and mechanical valves, as well as proportional pressure controllers. A variety of configurations are available from individual inline valves to manifold stacks, and economical circuit bars. A complete complement of electrical configurations including Din connectors, conduit connectors, Sub-D, and the exclusive MAC Connect automated systems are available.

MAC valves use balanced, direct-acting designs meaning one valve model can handle vacuum to 120 psi. The same valve can be used in a variety of applications, eliminating the need to stock multiple valves. Also, a balanced valve will operate at the same high speed with exact repeatability. So regardless of inlet pressure, you can ensure your valve will provide consistent machine performance.

MAC’s patented oval armature puts more core metal and windings in every solenoid, meaning extremely high shifting forces and the ability to cut through tough contamination. This is best demonstrated in the fact that MAC recommends 40-micron filtration, whereas most competitors require costly 5-micron filtration.

Need proof? PAC can directly compare any MAC valve to your current valve using our Portable Pneumatic Lab and animation software. This technology allows us to directly compare MAC to your current valve by showing real-time performance on an oscilloscope. Your engineering department will receive printed, empirical data on MAC and any other valve’s performance.

Did You Know?

MAC Valves is the only valve line capable of ultra-high speed sorting applications. Some pneumatic applications require cycling rates as high as 2000 hertz with de-energized response times as fast as 192 microseconds. Only MAC meets this incredible challenge.

An 8mm MAC 33 Series has 2-3 times the flow of a 10mm SMC VQ Series valve, more than 4X higher shifting forces, less than half the parts (including no pilot operator), a burnout-proof sealed solenoid, with an orifice 40X larger requiring no special filtration?
